New Job Senior Security Installation Technician

We’re looking to add an experienced, trades-qualified SENIOR SECURITY INSTALLATION TECHNICIAN to help lead our PRINCE GEORGE, BC based team. While security and surveillance installations are a big part of our work, this full-time position would lead and tackle projects that involve much more than just alarms and cameras!

From custom home theatres and “smart home” technology implementations to enterprise network systems, Curtis‑Elite is now delivering many exciting IT, audio/visual and home automation projects. QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 3 years of previous security/alarm installation experience; a Security Systems Technician TQ certification is desired;
  • Post-secondary education in electronics, computers/IT or similar would be an asset;
  • Must be bondable (an installer security clearance and criminal record check is required);
  • Possess a valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License;
  • Demonstrate a high level of professional integrity and work ethic;
  • Strong computer and networking skills; and
  • Excellent communication abilities with a dedication to customer service.

New Job Patrol Officers / Security Guards

Curtis-Elite Security is looking for energetic, positive individuals to augment our team of on-the-ground security professionals in Prince George, BC. PATROL OFFICERS / SECURITY GUARDS are responsible for patrolling and responding to alarm signals received from our customers’ residential and business locations.

The successful candidates will have successfully completed provincial security training and have a valid, current BC Security Worker License. They will demonstrate a high degree of professionalism and possess excellent communication skills. Curtis-Elite pays the top wages in the security industry for reliable and dedicated professionals, and an employee benefits package is provided.

Full-time, part-time and on-call positions are currently available.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Respond promptly to alarm signals received by our ULC Monitoring Centre;
  • Patrol commercial and residential sites when required;
  • Understand proper safety and emergency procedures and ensure they are followed at all times; and
  • Use telecommunications (i.e. two-way radios).

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have a valid BC Security Worker License.
  • Must be bondable (basic security clearance & criminal record check required).
  • Possess a valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License with a good driving record.
  • Previous patrol/security guard experience is preferred.
  • Post-secondary education is an asset.
  • Be self-motivated with a positive work ethic, detail-oriented and able to manage time productively.

Emergency Response Dispatcher

Curtis-Elite Security is seeking an EMERGENCY RESPONSE DISPATCHER to join our monitoring team at our downtown Prince George, BC Central Station. This is a full-time position and an employee benefits package is provided. As our Central Station runs 24/7/365 this position may involve shift work.

The Emergency Response Dispatcher will be responsible for handling all incoming alarm signal activities. They will also make outbound calls in order to contact customers, emergency contacts, and Police/Fire Departments regarding alarm activities while following standard operating procedures. This role requires heavy multi-tasking on phones as well as taking verbal instructions, typing, reading, speaking and writing.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operate computer-aided communications and dispatching equipment;
  • Respond quickly and precisely to incoming calls and emergency assistance or service;
  • Notify appropriate authorities and customers when alarm signal is received. Must be able to adhere to standard operating procedures and special instructions;
  • Work with repair technicians, guards, etc to ensure that signals are received properly and that circuits and signaling devices are restored to normal operation;
  • Provide professional customer service; and
  • Update necessary data when required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous dispatch experience is desired.
  • Post-secondary education and intermediate computer skills are an asset.
  • Must be bondable (basic security clearance and criminal record check is required).
  • Must have the ability to multi-task well under extreme pressure.
  • Be self-motivated with a positive work ethic, detail-oriented and able to manage time productively.
